Hello, I'm Dana Stevens

I'm a Career & Confidence Coach that specialises in helping women make their next career move.

Before training as a coach, I worked my way up in the corporate world for over 20 years. During that time, I've interviewed hundreds of people which has given me invaluable insight into the interview process. Working alongside various organisations, I have gained a working knowledge of a broad spectrum of interview processes and how hiring decisions are made. Crucially, I have witnessed how self-belief and confidence are crucial ingredients in helping successful candidates stand out from the others.

Most recently, I was Head of Strategy at a big London advertising agency where I worked with some of the UK's best known companies such as Nationwide, Cadbury, easyJet and the British Red Cross. And before that, I was a Radio and Online Producer at the BBC, working at BBC Radio 1, 1xtra, World Service and TV webiste services.

I live in North East London with my partner and two young boys who don’t like to sleep but do like to leave Lego on the stairs.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When does the programme start?

You can decide when to start the Interviewing Confidently programme. Once you have paid you will receive a booking link to book in your first 1-2-1 session, then you can arrange the following sessions directly with Dana. It is up to you how often you have your sessions. Most people like to have 1 session a week, but if you have an interview coming up imminently, you can decide to do multiple sessions in one week.

How is the programme delivered?

Each 1-2-1 session is delivered online over zoom and lasts for 60 minutes. Your practice interview session will last for 90 minutes so that there is time to conduct a realistic interview and provide constructive feedback. You will also receive workbooks to compliment your progress during the programme.

Can you guarantee that I will get a job?

The aim of this programme is to ensure that you are properly prepared for your interview and that you develop the self-confidence to perform in a way that you can be proud of. This means communicating your value to any prospective employees in the best way possible. Even if you deliver a brilliant interview, there are so many other factors involved in a hiring decision that you cannot account for. Even if you don't get a role, it does't mean that you didn't interview well. It might just mean that they want someone with slightly different skills or that they are not the right fit for you.

Your goal should be to always present yourself in the best possible way and to feel happy that you have communicated your skills, experience and value clearly and effectively while remaining authentic. This is the best you can do, so that is what I will prepare you to deliver.
